After a Side Window Replacement: What to Check
Campus Auto Glass provides mobile windshield replacement, side-window replacement, truck back-glass replacement, and ADAS recalibration across Austin, Texas. Call (737) 423-2463 for service at your home, office, apartment, or suitable parking location.
Mobile service and vehicle-specific glass
We identify the right glass configuration before service, including rain sensors, windshield cameras, HUD, heated glass, acoustic layers, and truck power sliders where applicable. When a vehicle requires ADAS recalibration after windshield replacement, trained technicians use the Autel MA600 system and provide a pass/fail report.
Workmanship coverage and insurance guidance
Lifetime workmanship coverage applies to installation-related leaks, wind noise, and improper seals. It excludes new damage, road debris, accidents, vandalism, and alterations. Insurance coverage varies by policy; verify your deductible, OEM glass, and calibration provisions.
Check the replacement before you leave
Look at the new glass from inside and outside the vehicle, then ask any question about the glass, trim, or weatherstrip while the appointment is still fresh. Avoid reaching into door tracks or trim gaps if you notice remaining shattered glass.
Test the feature that was affected
For door glass, try the relevant window switch without forcing it. For fixed quarter or vent glass, ask about vehicle-specific aftercare. For rear glass, ask which features such as a defroster grid or electrical connections apply to your vehicle.
Know when to call back
Contact Campus Auto Glass if a window will not operate as it did before, if there is a new rattle or wind noise, if trim or a weatherstrip needs attention, or if you have a question about a rear-glass feature. Workmanship coverage for installation-related leaks, wind noise, and improper seals is explained separately.
